We are fortunate to have strong parent and community support. The variety and magnitude of our curriculum are made possible by the use of resources from the staff and community.

Many opportunities are available to encourage dialog between the school, the home and the community. Parents and the community are vital links in providing a well rounded educational experience. Their voluntary service allows da Vinci to benefit from the following activities:

• Book Fair

• Chaperones

• Playground Helpers

• Monthly Field Trips

• Lunch Helpers

• Teacher Appreciation Week

• Mileage Club

• Business Partnerships

• Field Day Helpers

• Computer Assistance

• Family Night Activities

• Fund Raisers

• New Play ground Equipment

• Reading Month Activities

• Assistance in Maintaining facilities and landscaping

• Michigan Speedway

• Reading Month Incentives

• Family Pot Luck Dinners

This year , all da Vinci classroom teachers visited the homes of all their students. This was done to strengthen the home-school connection and open the doors of communication even wider in order to better ensure the success of every child at da Vinci. Parents are encouraged to visit and become involved in our school. Parental input is sought frequently in the development of new programs for students. We enjoy tremendous support as is evident by the 89% attendance at Parent-Teacher Conferences and the wonderful turnout at school functions. The community supports da Vinci in a variety of ways. Partnerships have been formed with Meijer, CP Federal Credit Union, Fazoli’s, McDonald’s, OfficeMax, Consumers Energy and more than 20 businesses supporting the P.A.L.S. program.
